Community Action

Tools for Teachers equips Pendleton Indiana and Lapel Indiana teachers with vital tools

Helping you create the community you want

Do you consider yourself a creative person? Don't count yourself out! You may not be gifted with pen or paintbrush. Your talents may be neither musical nor theatrical. However, as an active member of your community, you are a natural-born creator.

If you've volunteered for a community event, you're a creator.

If you've contributed your thoughts about how to improve the status quo, started or expanded a business, or found a way to inspire others, you're our favorite kind of creator - a creator of community!

Like all fine arts, the art of community is perfected through rehearsal. The Foundation has embarked on a plan to inspire and equip creators of community, then give them the space and support they need to rehearse. No doubt, a masterpiece will result.

Foundation grants are the fuel that helps a project take flight, but grants can only accomplish so much without the vast treasure of time and talent of the local community, working together toward a brighter future.

Imagine what we can create together, then join a team working on one of the following areas- or add a group of your own design.

Public Art

Highlighting Success

Engaging New & Diverse Voices

Redevelopment

Food Justice

You can be added to any of these teams by clicking below. Some volunteers help one hour a week, with no long term commitment, others are pursuing their life's work. We would love to have you join our efforts.
